SVSM is a club dedicated to the promotion of the hobby of scale modeling. Our meetings feature modeling subjects and programs covering all areas and genres of the hobby. Our meetings are open to visitors (see the meetings page for directions and maps) and frequently feature a monthly contest.

What's New?

Finishing up the category we've posted the last two albums from Planes of Fame museum - Focke-Wulf FW-190A-9 and Culver PQ-14 Cadet, as well as two aicraft from Pima - Convair TF-102A Delta Dagger and Boeing VC-137B Stratoliner.

Continuing the cleanup we've posted the last three albums from Tankland in LA - M715 Kaiser Jeep, Plymouth P11 Staff Car, 1941 and LVT-4.  To round out the daily update to the usual four, we've added the photos of the ZIS-42 restoration from Shamansky Collection.

Doing some clean up we've posted the last three albums from the Kiev Aviation Museum - Antonov Object 181, S-25 Unguided Rocket and Aviation Trailer.

The armor update for today contains two items from Military Vehicle Technology Foundation - M4A3E2 Jumbo Sherman and M59 APC, and two more from Stalin Line - GMZ-2 Tracked Minelayer and KMT-8 mine roller.

This Monday's update contains two aircraft from Planes of Fame Republic P-47G-15-CU Thunderbolt and Grumman J2F-6 Duck, as well as pair of Migs from Pima - Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15 and Mikoyan MiG-29S.

Updated a bunch of rarely updated albums with the photos of the Stalin's ZiS-115 Armored Limousine from Victory Park Museum in Moscow, Curiosity - NASA Mars Science Laboratory Rover Mock-Up from The Tech Museum in San Jose, Soviet aircraft tow bar from Kiev Aviation Museum and 50 new photos of the Fort Point from the top.

Getting close to the end of Pima photos added four more albums - McDonnell F-101B Voodoo, Convair B-36J Peacemaker, Curtiss O-52 Owl and Pratt & Whitney R-1340 Wasp.

Just like several previous updates the artillery for today comes to us from four different places - Spanish Gun "Birgen de Barbaneda" cast in 1693 from Presidio in San Francisco, CA, Belgian 75mm Krupp/Cockerill Mle 1877 Field Gun from Royal Museum of the Armed Forces and Military History in Brussels, Belgium, US 105mm M2A1 Howitzer from Fort Sill in Oklahoma and Soviet 45mm Model 1942 Anti-Tank Gun from Central Museum of Armed Forces in Moscow, Russia.

Four new aircraft related albums from four museums make up today's update.  We've added the Cauldron G.3 from Royal Museum of the Armed Forces and Military History in Brussels, Boeing FB-5 Hawk from Planes of Fame Museum in Chino, CA, Lockheed AP-2H Neptune from Pima Air Museum and finally Soviet Fragmentation Bomb from Kiev Aviation Museum.

Added four new armor albums from various museums and places around the world - KV-1S replica from Victory Park Museum in Moscow, Centurion Shot Kal Alef from Latrun Armor Museum in Israel, 9P137 Flejta ATGM vehicle from Technical Museum of Vadim Zadorozhny in Moscow and LAV-150 Commando from Santa Rosa Hobby Expo 2012.
